First International Scientific Symposium of CSK-2 & the Third Meeting of the CSK-2 International Steering Group

Following the symposium, the Third Meeting of the CSK-2 International Steering Group will take place on 21-22 February 2023. The IOC Sub-Commission for the Western Pacific established an International Steering Group (ISG) to provide guidance and oversight on the development and implementation of the CSK-2 program.

The ISG was convened two times virtually on 8 December 2021 and 20 June 2022, respectively.  The third meeting of ISC will be held on 21-22 February 2022, succeeding the CSK-2 Science Symposium on 20 February.  We encourage the ISG members to join the Symposium. Should you wish to make a presentation at the Symposium, please submit your abstract (less than 500 words) and descriptive CV (less than 200 words) to iocwestpac@unesco.org by 10 January 2023.  Some symposium participants may be invited to join the 3^rd ISG meeting.

The third ISG meeting will be held in a hybrid mode. Specifically, the ISG will brief on the progress made since the 13^th WESTPAC Session (April 2021); review, make recommendations on, and endorse new initiatives to be part of the CSK-2 program; and plan the CSK-2 activities over the next intersessional period.
