In line with the Data and Information Management Plan of the CSK-2 Programme, the CSK-2 Support Office has developed the Data Portal under the guidance of WESTPAC and the Programme’s International Steering Group (ISG). Acting as a data interconnection hub for the Kuroshio and adjacent regions, the Portal takes standardized metadata as its core. It aggregates and links metadata resources from endorsed projects to construct an open, shared and interoperable data service system in fully consistent with the objectives of the UN Ocean Decade. It deepens collaboration between intra- and extra-programme projects to foster in-depth data sharing and unlock the full value of data of CSK-2.

Development of the data portal is divided into two phases. Phase 1 featuring basic information and data node display for the 14 endorsed projects is largely completed, while Phase 2 for metadata collection, review, display and search functions is currently under development.
